AGLC NOW OFFERING VIRTUAL DUI CLASSES VIA ZOOM

Duluth has always known AGLC DUI School as a quality and trusted resource, and as restrictions for in-person gatherings continue to affect us, we are happy to now be offering a virtual DUI class, making it possible for you to receive your certificate without ever leaving your home. Right now, we’ll be educating you on many of the details of our virtual DUI classes, including how you can partake in them, and what is needed for you to do so. To learn more about our virtual DUI class, contact us today.

In April of 2020 the Department of Driver Services (DDS) approved virtual classes. While we plan to resume in-person classes in the near future, providing you with the best DUI classes in Duluth has always been our goal, and adapting our programs with consideration to Covid 19 related restrictions will allow us to continue doing so so. Taking our virtual classes versus other remote options satisfies the requirements of this mandate, making it possible for you to get the training you need and move on with your life.

The health, safety, and welfare of Georgia’s residents and visitors are of the utmost importance, and so until further notice, we will be providing only online courses at this time. Although you won’t be meeting in person for the classes, you will be receiving the same certification upon its completion. This is the exact same training that you would be doing in person, only virtually.

VIRTUAL DUI PROGRAM DETAILS

Our virtual DUI /Risk Reduction Program is a 20-hour education course that uses the Prime for Life curriculum. This course may be required if you’ve recently received a DUI / DWI Charge, a reckless driving ticket, license suspension, as well as other reasons. Our virtual course allows you to complete the program and receive your certificate from the comfort of your own home over the course of a three-day period. The class times are as follows:

  • Saturday 9:00am – 6:00pm
  • Sunday 9:00am – 6:00pm
  • Monday 6:00pm – 10:00pm

Breaks are taken hourly throughout the program, as well as one-hour lunch breaks on Saturday and Sunday.

WHAT YOU NEED TO PARTICIPATE

The book is electronic so a computer, laptop, or tablet is needed because two applications are open at once. In order to complete our virtual DUI class, you must also have access to the Zoom app. While many of you have probably familiarized yourself with Zoom in the last year, plenty of you may still not have had much or any experience with it. Much like other video conferencing apps, Zoom uses your phone, laptop or tablet to connect you with one or more users for video conferencing purposes, making communication and learning from home much easier. Because these virtual courses are taught exclusively via Zoom, having regular access to the Zoom app is mandatory, as you will not be able to complete the program without it.

If you’ve already got Zoom, you’re pretty much set to go, but if you haven’t yet gotten the app, it’s a simple process. It’s free to download, and you have multiple options in how you choose to use it. Whether you prefer to sit at your desktop or laptop while taking these virtual courses, or if you’d rather use your iPad or smartphone, our virtual courses can be accessed via any of these devices. The main thing that we require is that you have a functioning webcam and microphone for Zoom, so if your computer is somewhat old and slow, you may be better off using your tablet or smartphone. Ultimately, you will need access to a stable internet connection, as well as a device that can adequately run Zoom.

HOW DO I REGISTER?

Like our in-person classes in the past, we’ve made signing up for our virtual classes just as simple. Look at our schedule and register online. If you are having trouble in doing so or have any additional questions about our virtual classes, feel free to give us a call or send us an email, and we will do our best to help you get the information you need.
